Israel: Walk through the Bible Tour 11 May – 1 June 2012

ITINERARY

• Jerusalem (4 nights) Mt of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Jewish Quarter of Old City, Yad VaShem Holocaust Museum, Bethlehem, etc.
• Beer Sheva (1 night) Memorial to ANZACS who served in the Light Brigade. Tel Beer Sheva. See Bedouin tents as we travel through the Negev.
• Eilat (2 nights) Take a day tour to Petra (extra cost) or enjoy a rest day at the beach. Visit Mesada.
• Dead Sea (1 night) Experience the waters of the Dead Sea, visit Ein Gedi and Qumran, before heading up the Jordan Valley to Galilee.
• Galilee (4 nights) Stay on a Kibbutz near the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Visits will include Bet Shean, Capernaum, Nazareth, the Golan Heights, Banias (Caesarea Philippi) etc.
• Haifa (2 nights) Rosh Hanikra, Acco, Megiddo, Mt Carmel. Caesarea, Tel Aviv/Jaffa, Memorial to NZ soldiers at Ness Ziona.

  This course is an introduction to Biblical Theology. It explores the unity, diversity and central themes of God’s written word, the Bible. It assists students to begin making sense of the relationship between the Bible, theology and all the stuff of life.
  
• Vocation, Work and Ministry with Alistair Mackenzie – Thursdays 6-9pm
  Classes begin 8 March 2012. Cost for non-formal study $225.
  This course explores the biblical and theological concept of calling in the light of the centrality of Christ. Students will examine their own sense of calling and seek to clarify the nature of that call. It will also look at the role of the church in resourcing Christians for ministry in daily life.

Presenter John Cowan, together with youth specialist Dave Atkinson, in conjunction with Vodafone, will be delivering Connected presentations all over the country to show parents how they can help their kids get the most from modern technology.

"Top of the list, we want kids to be safe", says Dave. "Cyber-bullying is brutal – it genuinely wrecks some kids. And, without wanting to be alarmist, there really are creeps on the internet who are desperately trying to lure kids into 'real-world' contacts. Our kids need protection. This presentation will bring parents up to speed."
