Kia ora koutou and hello to you all,
We’d like to invite you to an upcoming talk and workshop here in Christchurch with Keith Newman, Kiwi historian and author, who is well-versed in both Māori and Pakeha culture (and Te reo Māori).
His book, Bible & Treaty, is about the early interaction between Māori and missionaries, the mutual respect each had for the other, and the work they accomplished in spreading the good news in early Aotearoa. It’s a book that seeks to bring us together in increasingly hostile times.
We’re offering a Friday evening talk for a general audience, as well as a Saturday workshop aimed at teachers and counselors for professional development. (Keith's books will also be available for sale at both events.)
Workshop on Bible & Treaty and what it means for us today:

When: Saturday, 24 September 2022, 9:30am-2:30pm
